Working Software Operational Status

Okay there was a problem with one of the routers after we went live with a new data feed. Old config was restored after about 10 mins of downtime. The problem has been fixed and new feed now live without a hitch.

Also, still learning how to use the Tumblr Android app so the last two updates didn’t go to Twitter or Facebook but this should go to both.

We’ve got connectivity problems at the data centre. We’ll update again shortly when fixed or with an ETA

Unplanned maintenance this evening

Hi All, I’m terribly sorry to report that we’ll have an unplanned outage this evening for about 2 hours between 10pm and 12midnight.

We need to evacuate all VPS images off a server with failing drives. Unfortunately the nature of the failure actually prevents us from snapshotting the VPS so our hands are tied.

All Decal sites hosted in our Australian rackspace (including the Working Software and Decal CMS websites!) will be offline during the transfer. Sites hosted at our US data centre will be unaffected.

I’ll post again once everything is back to normal.

We have works in the pipeline that will allow us to conduct this type of maintenance in future with zero downtime (or, rather, to obviate the need for this kind of maintenance altogether), however it’s still a few months off.
